This bill is being sold as something aimed at commercial greyhound racing.
But if you’ve been around long enough, you know better than to only look at the headline.
The real issue is the language.
When vague terms get written into federal law, they don’t just sit there. They get interpreted, expanded, and used later.
That’s how a lot of bad things get started.
And that’s why many people are calling this bill exactly what it looks like:
A Trojan Horse.
Today it’s greyhounds.
Tomorrow it could be working dogs, field trials, fair chase, and the traditions we’ve fought hard to keep alive.
That’s not fear talking.
That’s pattern recognition.
We’ve seen how this goes.
